i have used tool post grinders and an adapter to hold a die grinder.. basically i used to put a mirror type finish on internal pump mixer parts using Cratex rubberized abrasive stones. these stones can do a nice job. normally i only took 0.0005" at a time as i was improving surface finish and not wanting to take a lot of material off.

Accuracy of an old machine | Model Engineer

Some welcome thoughts, its a Lang j6 13" swing. I supect the bearing need adjustment too, I've placed a bar in the chuck and lifted the chuck with a piece of 2x4, there seems to be about .003 play. The bearings have shims in that have to be ground to remove the play. The problem Is i don't have a surface grinder.

Toolpost grinder motor suggestions - Practical Machinist

Only one toolpost grinder has a motor under 1/4 HP, and it has a 1/8" chuck. All the other grinders have motors of 1/4 hp, up to 5 hp (!), with the most common size among several manufacturers being 1/2 hp. Based only on that info, I'm inclined to think that what you want is a 1/4 HP or larger universal or DC motor.
