Hi, I had same problem and considered changing sky router settings but was concerned about creating problems with SkyQ. Decided to install tp-link AV-600 Powerline with TL-WPA4220. This provides a 2.4GHz WiFi signal to connect devices that only work on this freq, everything else connects direct to Sky router.

The Sky Q box disconnects constantly from the wifi, and then eventually won't reconnect - it sees the network, but can't connect to it. As this is not a Sky router, I believe the Sky Q box can't use the 5GHz network (and it doesn't see it anyway). You also can't change the wifi channel on the Sky Q box for the 2.4GHz network.

Initially use wireshark to extract username and password from current sky router. This needs to be wired connection to the router, select ethernet port within wireshark and start capturing. As Sky Q uses the 2.4GHz network to connect to the internet it obviously causes issues with Sky when this happens. When I say periodically I would say there are issues every other day. Normally, I have to browse to the router (using the 5GHz network) and once I have logged into the router it sorts itself out.
