The machine I used was closer to a Lathe than a press. The drive head and tailstock could be off set to make throws turn true and counter weights to help control the RPM's. The welding carriage traveled under the shaft with a hopper to catch unused flux and pump it back up to the feed hopper. All in all a very nice piece of equipment.
